Buying Roses Online

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

Is it a good idea to purchase roses online? Absolutely! Many of the finer vendors are able to offer an enormous number of rose varieties that are shipped directly from the farms on which they are grown. While the traditional long-stemmed varieties in shades of red, orange, peach, white, yellow, and multi-colors will always be available, it is only through online wholesalers that everyday consumers can find such things as organic and garden roses too.

What is the difference? While many commercial roses are grown for their good looks and sturdy nature, garden roses always include the old-fashioned kinds that seem to have hundreds of petals and are always highly fragrant too. They are not usually readily available through a traditional florist’s shop, and if they are, the prices can be somewhat exorbitant.

This means that someone who is planning a wedding or other type of special event will be able to use the exact type of roses they want and still save a ton of money. For example, one of the more fragrant white roses is the delicate “Jeanne Moreau”, but this is something rarely found in a traditional florist’s bouquet. If, however, a bride or party planner is willing to make the arrangements on their own they will be able to acquire such an old-fashioned and remarkably beautiful sort of rose for the bouquets.

Of course, roses are not reserved strictly for bridal party bouquets, and someone who wanted to create gorgeous centerpieces for an event would do well to investigate their options in roses through online vendors as well. They could pay less than half the “per stem” cost for roses with super long stems, spray roses, or even “novelty” roses in unusual colors or looks.

The important thing to consider when buying roses online is the vendor’s shipping policies and the amount of customer service available. Working with a supplier that offers consultation services and overnight shipping will usually yield optimal results.

Designer Watches

Monday, October 5th, 2009

Let’s face it all watches tell the time and if that’s all you want from a watch go for a cheap digital from the market.  Designer watches from the likes of Dolce and Gabbana, DKNY, Fossil and Diesel are however a class apart.  A designer watch makes a statement about your taste and personality and adds a touch of luxury to whatever you are wearing.  A good quality designer watch is an investment that will last a lifetime and is certainly worth that extra bit of money that they initially cost.
